Labor Inspection in the Žilina Region revealed 35 illegal employees

More than thirty people who worked at their employer illegally were detected by labor inspectors in cooperation with members of the Alien Police Department of the Police Force in Žilina and members of the National Unit for Combating Illegal Migration Office of the Border and Alien Police Office. The inspection was carried out at the premises of three companies in Žilina, Kysucké Nové Mesto and Čadca. These companies provide services and, in particular, labor through persons who are third-country nationals, several employers established in Slovakia but also in other countries.

In total, inspectors and police colleagues checked several dozen nationals of the Republic of Serbia, Ukraine, the Republic of Korea and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Based on the findings and preliminary results of the inspections, labor inspectors assume that up to 33 nationals of Ukraine, one national of Bosnia and Herzegovina and one national of the Republic of Serbia (35 foreigners in total) worked illegally with their employer because their legal conditions were not met. employment under special regulations concerning the employment of third-country nationals.
